Don't be an axe

Our goal is to make sure everyone has a safe, fun, and unforgettable axe throwing experience! Please read and follow these important rules. 

Remember: Axe throwing is thrilling — and safety makes it even more fun!
If you have any questions, ask your axe coach. Let’s throw responsibly and make great memories together.

General Safety

✅ All participants must sign a waiver before throwing.
✅ Minimum age 16,  parental consent for minors under the age of 16. Minimum Age 10. 
✅ Closed-toe shoes are required — no sandals or flip-flops. No exceptions.
✅ No one under the influence of drugs or excessive alcohol may participate.
✅ Only one axe is allowed per lane at a time.

Throwing Rules

✅ Only one person is allowed in the throwing lane at a time.
✅ Always wait until the previous thrower has retrieved their axe and left the lane before entering.
✅ Always throw axes toward the target wall — no sideways or trick throws unless approved by a coach.
✅ Do not cross the throwing line until all axes are securely in the target or on the ground.
✅ Never attempt to catch a falling axe.
✅ Always retrieve axes by walking — no running in the lanes.

Respect & Conduct

✅ Follow the instructions of Timber & Clay staff at all times.
✅ Unsafe/disrespectful behavior will result in removal from the activity without refund.
✅ Treat the equipment, venue, staff, and fellow throwers with respect.
✅ Cheer each other on — axe throwing is about fun and friendly competition!
